Actually, we only watch the ESC to see how Germany is going down the drain again, to laugh our asses off at some artist or song and to drink something delicious in a bit of a party mood. Same this time.
In contrast to many other ESCs, all the junk was sorted out in advance, so that in the end there were quite good artists on stage until (in my opinion) one exception (the “windows95man”). Taste can be argued over. Because actually it’s not really my music there.
So we voted this time too and were not happy about Germany taking last place, but rather gave Isaak a respectable and, above all, deserved place in midfield. Well done – a nice guy.
My personal favorite this time was Croatia. Even if the title is a bit strange.
My calls for Israel not only have to do with politics and personal connection, but the song was actually pretty good.
Actually I just wanted to give a point because of the band name, but surprisingly the song isn’t bad at all: I also got a few calls for “Ladaniva”
I was also happy about Georgia, but I also made a few calls to Cyprus – I liked it.
Speaking of “Lada Niva”. We don’t drive a RUSSIAN Lada Niva but a POLISH Lada Taiga – but this only shows up in the electronics, the rust protection and various parts that improve the off-road capability. And “my” off-roader received its TÜV seal again on May 10th. So he’ll be at least ten years old now, and he’s already eight years old. In all this time it has only been washed once and has not passed the TÜV twice (once the headlights were adjusted and last week the rear brake shoes had to be replaced). Otherwise, he tore off the muffler once off-road and a seal had to be replaced. It doesn’t show any rust or anything yet. All this after eight years in the Siegerland mud and elsewhere off the track. The car is getting older than I will 🙂
Let’s see when the second Taiga has to go to the TÜV in a few weeks. He is always well cared for by his owner, is younger and hasn’t had any problems yet.
