Do you feel the same? The colder and wetter it gets, the more of these creepy crawlies I find in my den. When I sometimes come home from my forays through the forest and crawl into the den, my fur is grey from all the cobwebs.
And sometimes I wake up at night when they’re dancing around on my nose. Literally!
The Hoomans say they are getting more and more of them, especially because they live in the forest. Everyone knows that you shouldn’t kill the poor things, but you shouldn’t put them outside in the cold weather either. It’s far too cold for them and they freeze to death. But it’s not so great in a warm apartment either, it’s too dry for them and they die.
If you don’t really like spiders in your apartment, please transport them to a cool, but not freezing, damp cellar. They can then overwinter there and next year they might delight us again with their works of art.
