Life in Winter

Man, it’s gotten cold again, hasn’t it? We had minus 17 degrees Celsius here once last week, now it’s always around minus 8 to minus 10 degrees. But there’s practically no snow at all. Not like the Hoomans, who have it a bit warmer with temperatures just below zero – if you can call it that – but they also have 30 to 40 cm of snow. Joey Hooman is definitely looking forward to driving around in the “Taiga” and the Unimog.

Well, they’ll be back soon and they’ll be in for a shock. I’ve become quite chubby – some say. Not only have I got my beautiful winter coat, which makes me look 20 kg heavier but also keeps me really warm, but I also put on a lot of weight in the autumn. Some of the people living near me weren’t entirely innocent in this either ahem

Fur, fat and my lovely bushy tail help me to snuggle up nicely in the snow. I usually put my tail on my nose so that it’s really cozy and I can breathe in warm air.

And if it gets really cold and stormy, like we had recently, then I can always retreat to my basement apartment 🙂

Otherwise, I can only recommend that everyone go for a walk in the deep snow and hunt mice.

It’s quite strenuous and keeps you wonderfully warm. And fit. I can only recommend Joey Hooman. But as a vegan he certainly doesn’t want mice. But a little exercise would do him good 🙂

Otherwise I can cuddle with my partner when he comes home and maybe catches something that we can then share.

Sabine and Joey definitely do that too – that’s what “Sissy” once told me. Well, cuddling at least.

OK, I have to go again. I’m kind of hungry.
